Quite good. Can't ever replace properly voice-acted audiobooks for me, but nonetheless a good option for people who rely on audiobooks/TTS to read. The voices vary quite a bit in quality, but there are some pretty nice ones. My main problems are lag and slowness, just general performance issues with longer books (I've had this issue on all my decides, regardless of specs), and that sometimes the formatting gets a bit messed up when importing an epub.

Really nice voices. Buying by the hour is pretty reasonable. Searching for voices is a little hard, you can browse lists but I don't see a way to sort by pitch or accent. The app is a little unstable on my phone--if I pause and go to another app, it closes and doesn't stay open to unpause on the notification screen like most music apps. It also drains the battery so much. AI is power intensive so I expected it somewhat, but an hour of listening takes my phone down at least 25% battery.

Despite being initially slightly disappointed that there is no free download option, I absolutely loved this app. Just listening to audiobooks in the background with quality audio with basically no limits was basically a dream. However, after the new update a few days ago, a new hour limit has been added that completely ruined my experience. I understand the reason for subscriptions, but the limit is just way too short. I would've given this app a solid 4 if it wasn't too restrictive now.

We hear you, Sandra. ElevenReader was free while it grew, and we know it’s tough to see it change. To keep improving it, a subscription is now needed, but we’ve added free hours weekly and flexible plans to make it easier to stay. We truly hope you’ll give it another shot.
