Yeah so this is nice when you start out but it gets incredibly bogged down later on. To put it into perspective, I am allegedly better than 90% of all players and not even half-way through all the areas, meaning you may never see the later content. Gear and upgrade are incredibly useless as pretty much all your success is determined by getting useful abilities by RNG. The farther you get, the less likely this becomes as more and more useless abilities get added to the pool (for example any ability for spirits is 100% useless since they deal no damage anyway). However there is still a lot of ongoing support and you can even play this offline so I may keep it around and hope the balance eventually flips into good. Also the amount of ads they want you to watch is obscene! When there's a "free" ads chest you cannot open more chests with keys until you watched that ad! Why?

Edit: I played for quite some hours now and it gets more and more frustrating. The energy isn't even the problem. But there are plenty: Chapter 5 is basically the paywall if you weren't EXTREMELY lucky with your items, item drops are far too rare and most drops are unusable garbage, the KI sucks (why shoot the threat in front of me if I can shoot a chest that does nothing at all?) and overall, the whole game is rigged to make you buy their overpriced stuff. Uninstalled.

Fun and proven concept. Roguelike with some things carrying over. Energy system is way too punishing. 1 Energy every 12 minutes(!), 20 energy max. One run costs 5 energy(!) and lasts from 2 to 10 minutes. Can refill with ads. Gems are gained medium fast, but a lot of traps are built in that make one think 'damn, I wish I had more right now. Not an honest app. Too much RNG.
