Want to use practical connectivity features in your Volkswagen*, but don’t have We Connect or Car-Net in your vehicle? No problem. Together with our DataPlug**, the ‘We Connect Go’ app connects you instantly with your new vehicle or model from 2008 onwards. That’s plug and play connectivity from Volkswagen.

An overview of the benefits for you:
- Display various vehicle data, warning symbols and upcoming service intervals
- Volkswagen authorised workshops, appointment scheduling and navigation are just a click away
- Greater safety in an emergency thanks to direct contact with the national 24-hour breakdown service or the Volkswagen service hotline
- Digital tools such as a fuel monitor or electronic logbook with automatic recording and export function
- Drive more efficiently and save fuel with statistics, driving style analysis and challenges

Download the free app, simply insert the DataPlug into your vehicle’s diagnostic connection, register in the app and connect your smartphone to your Volkswagen via Bluetooth.

Got off to a poor experience with this app from day 1 in the dealers, when I bought my car, and even the salesperson wasn't sure whether we needed We Connect or We Connect Go. Completely confusing app names. I've only used it a couple of times since, and been tempted to uninstall it, as it constantly tells me that it's updating the list of authorised workshops but is clearly struggling. It's just not very intuitive.

Been using the app with no problems for the last year. The constant "updating authorized workshops" was annoying, but it didn't stop the app from working. Overall I was quite happy. But yesterday I got a new phone for christmas and I can't login in to the app on the new phone - the restore of the backed up data always fails at 65%. I see several other people complaining of the same problem, so it's obviously a fairly common issue. A sorry end to what had been a decent app.

Sometimes records route and parking place accurately but often doesn't. Uses phone battery up even when not connected, e.g. used over 13% yesterday even though I didn't takew the car out. Have just entered refuelling data, which shows in the app, but there's still a notification inviting me to do it. Have spent - wasted - a lot of time on this app, and am now close to uninstalling it.
