I'm bedridden recovering from extensive surgery. A friend is taking care of me around the clock, we got very tired of shouting back and forth room to room, I got the idea there might be an app we could use on our Samsung Galaxy phones to use as a walkie-talkie and BAM! We found Zello, it had a high rating and I can see why now! We got it up and running in no time, it works fabulously, we integrated the widget and its now one touch walkie-talkie! what an amazing piece of technology!

I recently started using Zello and see its value, but it’s not very user-friendly. First, it often switches from Available to Busy on its own, ruining real-time walkie-talkie use. Second, it’s hard for elderly or non-technical people to learn. Also, when pressing the talk button, it isn’t clear you’re recording—only small seconds show. The button should turn green when active and red when stopped for clear feedback.

So far, I find it interesting and still thinking how it can be worked out as, exactly how a conventional walkie talkie provides with frequency..... It's good to know when I'm thinking "free!" and I might be able to do and convinced all my friends around it.
