Very annoying "Enable notification" pop-ups that cannot be disabled in settings! Since some months ago (after one of the updates) I start seeing an "enable notifications" pop-up every time I start Readly. I checked in Settings but I do not see any option to disable this pop-up. Contacting customer support, all I get a "we will let our developers know" (aka: we don't care). That was some weeks ago. Nothing happened. If you want to be annoyed, subscribe to Readly. Otherwise, choose an alternative.

The app has more than 6000 magazines and a growing number of newspapers and exclusive content. Because the price is a flatrate for all the magazine if you are currently subscribed to one or more magazines, chances are that you will save a lot of money! Especially since you can share your account with up too 5 friends and family members. I especially would recommend it to anyone that has a tablet as the content looks best on a large screen. I hope that they will add an audio version of the magazines so that I can listen to the articles.

The concept itself is great. The execution leaves to be desired though. My main use case for this app is to read on the subway where I mostly have no internet connection. The app takes ages to start up though when there's no connection. Even opening already downloaded issues takes a while or doesn't work at all without network connection. The whole point of pre-downloading an issue is so I have it ready at any time! The icons for different states of issues (downloaded, read) are hard to understand. There's an universally acknowledged icon for "download(ed)" (thick arrow pointing down to a bar), why not use it? Also, please remember the filter selections I made. I search mostly for english magazines, but after each app start, the filter for "german magazines only" reappears and I have to remove it. Don't make me do the same thing over and over again. Also, on slow connections, the previewing of pages in low quality is useless, but probably doesn't hurt (I assume this is some sort of progressive downloading that doesn't waste time / bandwidth for downloading the low-res stuff?). App has great potential, but needs some serious polishing.
